The Problem
This is not a failure of will; it is a failure of scale. High-impact interventional procedures take years to master, and specialist skills cannot be acquired and deployed quickly enough to meet the rapidly increasing demand.
The consequences are as predictable as they are unacceptable: uneven access, inconsistent care, needless delays, and a patient experience defined more by geography and chance than by clinical need.
Our Solution
Our technology makes interventional expertise widely available, transforming complex high-stakes procedures from human-dependent art into standardized, system-driven care.
We aim to expand patient access to advanced interventional care whenever and wherever it is needed.
AutonomUS emerged from a Department of Defense–supported collaboration between Massachusetts General Hospital physicians and MIT Lincoln Laboratory scientists.
We are physicians, roboticists, computer scientists, and engineers focused on improving access to image-guided interventions.
From the battlefield to the ER, outpatient clinics, and operating rooms, our goal is to improve access to the best interventional care for every patient, everywhere.
